The catalogue

Two properties, both in the CBD, neither of them a motel room.

We keep our list deliberately small so that every property is properly looked after. Between them they cover almost every reason people come to Bendigo — a weekend for two, a working month, or ten of you under one roof.

Living area at Bendigo Skyline with a charcoal chaise sofa, DREAM BIG wall lettering, white coffee table and a wall-mounted television
Property one · Sleeps 2

Bendigo Skyline

A modern one bedroom apartment with a private courtyard on top of the city.

This was the original maids' quarters for the Cobb & Co House — and you would genuinely never pick it. The courtyard looks out over the roof of the Bendigo Bank, there are restaurants on the doorstep, and there's a lock-up garage so the car is off the street for the whole stay.

It's the one we put executives and solo travellers in for the working week, and couples in for a weekend. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and heated towel rails come standard.

Cobb & Co House

A very large heritage house at 54 Short Street, right in the CBD — comfortable, fun, and full of retro character.

Four bedrooms and three bathrooms across a house big enough for ten with space to spare. There's a full kitchen, a large dining and lounge area, an outdoor space with a BBQ, and a laundry — which matters more than people expect when there are eight or ten of you.

Bookings for up to ten give you a king bedroom with ensuite, two queen bedrooms (one with ensuite) and a queen bedroom with two singles, plus the living area and TV. We also leave a coffee pod machine stocked with coffee and hot chocolate pods, and long-life milk in the fridge.

Choose by what you're here for

Tell us the trip and we'll tell you the property.

A weekend for two

Bendigo Skyline. Walk out for dinner, walk back, sit in the courtyard above the city. The car stays in the garage until Sunday.

Ten of you, one roof

Cobb & Co House. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, one enormous kitchen and a BBQ — cheaper and far better company than four motel rooms.

A working month

Either, depending on the team size. We run corporate bookings in 14-day blocks and re-price when your departure date changes.

A hospital placement

Bendigo Skyline suits a single locum, registrar or intern. Cobb & Co works when family come to visit mid-placement — one of our guests did exactly that.

A festival weekend

Writers Festival, a show at the Ulumbarra, an exhibition at the gallery — book early and book direct. Festival weekends have their own cancellation window.

Before you book

The questions we get asked most.

What time can I check in and check out?

Check-in and check-out times are confirmed in the arrival details we send before your stay, and we'll always try to work around a late flight or an early start. If you have a firm constraint, tell us when you book rather than on the day — it's much easier to arrange in advance.

Do I need to bring linen or towels?

No. All linen and towels are supplied at both properties, and the beds are made before you arrive. Guests regularly comment on how generous the towel supply is at Cobb & Co House — one group of eight said so in writing.

Is the Wi-Fi really free?

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is live in both properties from the moment you walk in, at no charge and with nothing to sign up to. If you're working from the property and need to know more about the connection before you commit, just ask.

Where do I park?

Bendigo Skyline has a lock-up garage, so your vehicle is secure for the whole stay. Parking at Cobb & Co House is confirmed with your booking — if you're arriving in several cars, let us know how many when you enquire.

Do you take one-night bookings?

We do. Be aware that one-night bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable in any way — so please be sure of your date before you book one.

Can I get a better rate for a long or corporate stay?

Yes — that's one of the main reasons to book direct. Email us at [email protected] with your dates and we'll tailor a package. Corporate bookings are charged in 14-day blocks for the first 14 days; after that, if your departure date changes we re-price the stay at nightly rates for the days you were here and recalculate any refund.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Standard bookings need to be changed, cancelled or refunded no later than 14 days before arrival. Long weekends, festival weekends and special weekends need 60 days' notice; after that a refund depends on our being able to re-let the property. The full detail is on our booking and cancellation policy page.

How do I pay?

Payment is required at the time of booking unless we've negotiated something else with you. Where a payment plan is offered, the balance is due 30 days before arrival. Our staff will confirm the payment options when they confirm your dates. Bonds are charged at our discretion depending on the booking.
