Most one bedroom apartments give you a balcony that looks at a car park. This one gives you a courtyard on the roofline of central Bendigo, with the top of the Bendigo Bank building in front of you and the spires of the old town in the distance. It's the reason people book it twice.
Inside, the whole apartment has been reworked: soft lit display alcoves either side of the television, a chaise you can actually stretch out on, a proper glass dining table by the kitchen door, and a bathroom with heated towel rails for the mornings when Bendigo decides it's winter.
Step out of the front door and you're among restaurants. Step out of the back and the car is in a lock-up garage, safe for the entire stay — which is the single most common thing we get thanked for by guests staying the working week.
